Build your accident document folder

A well-organized folder helps you explain what happened without relying on memory.

RESOURCE GUIDE · FIRST EDITION

Create a simple folder structure

Use folders for scene photos, vehicle damage, crash reports, insurance correspondence, bills and receipts, and work records. Keep originals and a backup.

Write a factual timeline

Record what you personally remember, and clearly separate that from what someone else told you. Add dates to later events such as inspections and insurer calls.

Track requests and conversations

Keep a contact log with the date, person, organization, reference number, and next action. Do not upload sensitive records to an unfamiliar service.
