Use Houston’s official traffic and police resources to check roadway incidents, find a crash report, and locate the right service after a collision.
Check Houston-area roadway incidents
Houston TranStar monitors incidents on area roadways. Its incident-feed documentation describes updates once per minute. Accident Advisory has not connected that feed yet; use the official site for current information.

A roadway incident listing is preliminary and is not the same as a completed police crash report. It does not establish who was at fault.
Request an HPD crash report
Houston Police Department’s public-information page has a specific Accident Report / Crash Report section and an online purchase link. HPD asks for identifying crash details, including the date, location, and involved names; keep the incident number handy if you have it. Check current processing times, eligibility, forms, and fees on the official page.

A crash report is different from other police records
HPD provides separate instructions for crash reports, incident or offense reports, and other records. Identify exactly what you need before submitting a request. If another agency investigated your crash, contact that agency rather than assuming an HPD search covers it.
Looking for a towed vehicle?
The HPD services directory includes a “Find my towed car” service. Start there and verify the vehicle and storage location through the official service before arranging pickup or payment.
