STATES & DISTRICTS / ARIZONA / TUCSON

Use this Tucson guide to find the correct crash-report request, understand local data coverage, and reach official traffic resources. Start with the investigating agency and report number on your paperwork.

Order a Tucson Police collision report through the official route

Tucson Police’s public-records page directs collision-report purchases to Crashdocs. It also explains separate forms and email or mail routes for other public records. For requests handled through those other routes, the city instructs applicants to wait for an invoice before paying.

Photographs, 911 calls, radio recordings, and video are different record types with their own availability and charges. Confirm that Tucson Police investigated: Pima County Sheriff and the separate municipality of South Tucson have different records custodians. Keep the report number and requested record types in your follow-up correspondence.

LOCAL RESOURCE CONTEXT

Pedestrian safety planning has a specific focus

Tucson’s Pedestrian Safety Action Plan addresses walking conditions and strategies to prioritize locations with crash concerns. It should not be interpreted as a complete count of all vehicle collisions. Compare the plan’s study period and scope before using it alongside other datasets. Road-improvement project pages describe construction and planning, not an active dispatch feed.

Official traffic resources: Tucson area

AZ511 provides regional travel information. Select the relevant roadway, direction, and event category and check the source’s own update time. Coverage may include construction, hazards, and incidents outside city limits; it is not a complete record of all local crashes.

Keep a useful record for follow-up

  • Save the investigating agency, report number, date, and precise road or intersection.
  • Retain your request confirmation and a dated copy of any report received.
  • Keep original photos, repair estimates, and towing or rental receipts together.
  • List missing documents or corrections for the records office separately from insurance questions.
