STATES & DISTRICTS / NEW MEXICO / ALBUQUERQUE
Use this Albuquerque guide to find the correct crash-report request, understand local data coverage, and reach official traffic resources. Start with the investigating agency and report number on your paperwork.
Get an APD crash report through its official vendor link
Albuquerque Police uses Carfax for Police to distribute online crash reports through the CrashDocs link on its official page. The city also lists an in-person alternative at the Law Enforcement Center, 400 Roma NW.
Check current fees, hours, and access requirements before visiting or paying. Preserve the APD report number and collision date. If a county or state agency investigated, use that agency’s report route rather than assuming APD’s vendor holds the record. Ordering a copy does not create a new police report.

LOCAL RESOURCE CONTEXT
Albuquerque prioritizes a High Fatal and Injury Network
The city’s Vision Zero resources identify a prioritized network and safety projects. This is a planning framework based on patterns of serious harm, not a live incident map or a prediction about a single trip. Keep the study period and city boundary in view when comparing a corridor with surrounding Bernalillo County roads.
Official traffic resources: Albuquerque area
NMDOT travel maps and NMRoads provides regional travel information. Select the relevant roadway, direction, and event category and check the source’s own update time. Coverage may include construction, hazards, and incidents outside city limits; it is not a complete record of all local crashes.

Keep a useful record for follow-up
- Save the investigating agency, report number, date, and precise road or intersection.
- Retain your request confirmation and a dated copy of any report received.
- Keep original photos, repair estimates, and towing or rental receipts together.
- List missing documents or corrections for the records office separately from insurance questions.
