Detailed state coverage<\/h2>

Eleven state guides include official report-request sources and general lawsuit limitation guidance: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. Each guide links to its sources. Other states do not yet have a detailed guide.<\/p>

City resources in more states<\/h2>

New York City<\/a> \u00b7 Chicago<\/a> \u00b7 Philadelphia<\/a> now also have distinct local report instructions, safety context, and external traffic sources. No automated feed is connected for these three cities.<\/p>

Los Angeles, California<\/a>, Phoenix, Arizona<\/a>, and Miami, Florida<\/a> now have local report guidance, road-safety resources, and links to official traffic services. Their state hubs retain statewide guidance. These three city pages do not yet ingest automated incident feeds.<\/p>

Texas city resources<\/h2>

The Texas hub<\/a> connects Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. City guides focus on local agencies and report-request routes. Austin, Dallas, and Fort Worth have connected incident-feed pilots. Houston and San Antonio currently link to external traffic resources.<\/p>

Dallas and Fort Worth feed coverage<\/h2>

Dallas Police Active Calls is filtered to categories containing \u201caccident\u201d; rows are grouped by incident number to avoid repeating police-unit records. The city warns of intermittent refresh delays. Fort Worth uses the city\u2019s Current Traffic Accidents dataset. Both displays show up to 12 distinct incidents, use a five-minute server cache, and check again every five minutes while the page is open. Source timestamps older than 30 minutes, missing timestamps, or retrievals older than 10 minutes trigger a freshness warning. A failed request replaces the display with an unavailable notice. An empty result does not establish clear roads.<\/p>

What \u201cupdated\u201d means here<\/h2>

A source-checked date records when an editorial source was checked. It is not a promise of attorney review or continuous monitoring. The Austin\u2013Travis County incident pilot<\/a> reads the City of Austin Real-Time Traffic Incident Reports dataset<\/a>. It displays up to 12 newest records marked ACTIVE and categorized as crashes, caches responses for five minutes, and checks again every five minutes while the page is open. A source older than 30 minutes is labeled delayed; a failed request displays an unavailable notice. This is a current snapshot, not a complete crash archive. Dispatch categories do not establish fault or injuries. Coverage includes Travis County and is not limited to Austin city boundaries. Houston and other traffic resources remain external links; their incidents are not automatically ingested.
